a date that Rich and I had said since the day we found out we were pregnant as his DUE DATE!
Even when the date fluctuated from November 1st to October 31st to November 7th...
we would always tell anyone who asked Halloween.
It was just easier....
and of course, turned out to be accuate!
Just minutes after birth,
our precious Little Griffin Charles waiting for measurements, tests and his first bath!
And, the back side.
This will be the only "X-rated" picture of Griffin...but his little bum was too cute to not post!
Diapered up and tagged for safety.
The one on his left foot is called a "HUGS" tag that sets off an alarm and locks all exits if you get within 5 feet. On night number 2, Rich and I were taking a walk with Griffin and found out that it is more like 15 feet when the doors automatically shut and the alarm goes off.
OOPS...we weren't even trying to escape!
Head measurement of 13.75 inches.
First footprints!
Preparing for his first bath with Papa.
BATH TIME VIDEO!
Clean, Dry and Dressed.
Finally, a little time with PAPA!
HELLO WORLD!
After all the tests were done, it was time to move out of our Labor & Delivery Room
(turns out it was just the Labor Room) and move into the Mommy/Baby Room
where we would stay for the remainder of our stay.
Loves from Mama after we got settled...the first time I really got to spend any time with
our Little Beano Burrito!
We were able to relax for a bit...and enjoy a little quiet time with Griffin!
Then it was time for VISITORS!
Grandpa Mike
Grandma Joni
Auntie Jenn
Great-Grandma Gloria and Great-Aunt Roxy.
Being that it was Halloween, Griffin had to have a costume...less than 12 hours old,
Griffin became the LION he was destined to be.
He entered the world with a ROAR, so a Lion was only appropriate.
Plus, a Griffin is a mythological creature that has the body of a Lion
and the head and wings of an Eagle.
Of course, he did have to have a little MONSTER attire too!
Happy Birthday Griffin Charles Meyer
What an AMAZING Day!
