Griffin received a special character trait award for INITIATIVE! His teacher shared the kindest words that "He literally blesses my heart every day because his heart shines so much"!!! Ahhh, now that is something special.
Our special friend Mrs. Zeck stopped by for a visit with Baby Riley.
Skipping school for an eye doctor appointment and I learned that it's not just Griffin who doesn't want to miss school. So we shall adjust our schedules to not conflict with school (haha)!

Ah, this was a rough Sunday for Millie, but we learned a lot as ladies that day. So happy for the snuggles and girls that love to talk to their mama!!!
And they are off!!!
We had a few glimpses of Spring in February and took every chance we had to soak up some sun...even if we were bundled up from the freezing temps!
What happens at Grammy and Papa's.....
Rich needed to get over to the lake...so I happily joined and the kids stayed back. I think it was a win for all and we are so grateful to have that time with just each other. Lots of things have been moving around here and finding that time to connect, plan, dream, pray and grow together is so necessary. It's a challenging season, one with not a ton of time with each other, so being deliberate with this special time is important!
Ahhhhh...this place just melts my heart!
We have a "Shop"...yes, it's as big as the cabin will be, but we plan to use it for inside and outside play and fun too!

It's funny to think, but I'm starting to love the lake dare I say MORE in the winter than I really thought possible. It's quiet and calm, clear and chilly. Just what my busy mind needs...a PAUSE button.
Meanwhile, back in Bothell...the kids had a blast with the cousins and didn't miss us at all!

Fun times with LJ! I never dreamed I was ready for her to be in preschool 5 mornings...with the big kids, I didn't do that until Kindergarten. However, she is thriving. She loves the routine and the special adventures she gets in the afternoon.
Kid's night at Church. Once a month the 3rd graders get to join the 4th and 5th graders!
Dry and cold means walks to the park and soaking it all in!
Bye Chukar...we are off for an adventure.
First time back to the airport since 2020...

Definitely the highlights reel of February, but in all honesty that's what LIFE IS ALL ABOUT! There are many bumps in the road, but we are learning and growing as we go AND I'll take that!
