Flashback: December 2018

Well, well, well...it's my goal to get current before a new decade starts...not for you, but for me!  I love looking back at the years spent on this blog as a moment in time, a time capsule perhaps, and some day, when the little feet are bigger, it will be my memories of what this period looked like in life.

It's been chaotic and messy...but it's also been a period of growth.  Our family has grown so much with the addition of LJ and it feels only right to remember these days and put some words to the pictures.

So this WAS December 2018...our little 6 week old was just a pile of snuggles (and sleepless nights)...and while not a ton has changed since then on the sleep front, life has continued to march forward.

Snuggles with daddy...these moments were captured on a Saturday morning before Rich rushed off to work on some portion of the house...

A blend of Christmas...but the stockings were hung at Grammy & Papas!

Evenings with the bigs...trying to have some structure and relaxation.

Who is this little baby?!?!

Millie got invited to a PRINCESS birthday party and was all smiles getting to dress up to celebrate Ellie.

One of the BEST things about your kids going to a Christian school...is they actually get to celebrate Christmas, learn the real story of Christmas and have an amazing Christmas program at school.

I mean...she hasn't always been all smiles. The early days are proof of this. Mean mugging in cute clothes!

Snuggles with mama before work!

The last few years we have gone to the Old Goat Farm to celebrate Christmas with my grandma, aunt, mom and the flowershop ladies...in 2018, LJ got to attend.

At school, the kids can earn "guardian badges" for acting in a way that represents the character trait of the month.  Griffin earned his first badge and got to turn it in for a prize at school.

This is called the snowman pose....and the other is called LJ is boss of Chukar.

Christmas time meant lots of traditions and time spent with arts and crafts!

Guessing this was in the MIDDLE of the night...and LJ decided to just play!

Another day...another photo shoot.  The funny thing about this is these shoes....I know she had 2, but we only ever saw 1 after this day.

It's Christmas cookie day at Grammy's!

UT OH...just these pictures freak me out!  We left maybe 5 minutes before Rich's truck was totaled and our ENTIRE family would have been right there.  So blessed no one was injured.

Christmas shopping fun with the family!

A special TriDelta brunch...

Followed by The Men's Chorus with the BC ladies!

Time for Christmas parties at school!

I mean...LOVE!  Sleepless nights but arms full of love!

A special day that mom attended Chapel.

Look who's 2 months old!

The amount of love...my heart is bursting!

A little quiet time on a weekend...snuggles and haircuts!

And then it was CHRISTMAS EVE!

I never thought I'd have a matchy matchy family...but it sure was fun!

Millie picked out the dresses for the girls!

The whole Jobs clan on Christmas Eve!

GG and the Great-Grands!

The Boness Family!

Grammy and Papa with the Meyer kids!

My love!

Smothered in kisses!

Christmas Eve fancy to Christmas Morning Pajamas.

SANTA CAME!!!

Cheers babe...you need all the Dad Fuel you can get.

Under my umbrella!!!

That's a wrap Christmas morning!

We decided to do a little Christmas dinner at McMenamins to get out and have a little memory making. This tradition needs a little work, but we are figuring it out.

Christmas break trip to one of Mom's offices.

Bowl Game time...and the troops were cheering on Daddy's team.

And this is what happens when you take a new born shopping.....mom gets to hang out in the bathroom while dad and the big kids grab some snacks.

See, December 2018 was a pretty cool month! It's fun to make memories and relive how much fun we had...when the month was a blur and really the past year has been.
