Short month and LONG walks!  It's funny how when you focus on the simple, the simple life really comes into focus.  It started at the lake, it continued in the spring of 2020 and now it's a family style.  We walk, we talk.  We talk, we walk.  It's really that simple of making the time for our family and getting a little movement in the chaos AND it's really added so much.

It's time away from screens.  It's time to listen to God.  It's time to connect.  It's time to stop and check in with the Meyer tribe.  Whether it's at home or the lake or anywhere in between I think it's safe to say the WHOLE family loves when we carve these moments out together.

Potentially this longest walk yet...the 4.51 mile round trip to "the Woods" aka coffee shop!

Midwinter break marked the LAST time at the lake without the cabin...I can safely say that today, as Rich is over there today (March 21st) and they are "marrying" the 2 sides together and hooking up the electrical!

This little slice of heaven seems unreal that we get to go there even more.  Truly a huge blessing for our family and I can't wait to share it with our friends and family.

Three turkeys in a turkey blind...

We dropped the boat off in Idaho....so we made a little detour to the Spokane CITC.  Kids loved seeing "where Mom works" but doesn't really work.

Lake days and SUNSHINE.....a flood of photos from our time "off the grid"!

Don't throw your coat on the heater in the boat....

First trip out on the water of 2023....it was chilly, but this family loves the water!

Coffee service...I'll take it!
My forever HAPPY spot with my forever love!!!!

A first for the family...we stopped at Dry Falls on our way over to the lake.  This view was absolutely breathtaking and amazed me that in the rush of getting to or coming home, we'd never stopped before.

And we are off....

Julios is ALWAYS a good idea...and a great way to kick off Midwinter break!

Date NIGHT...we celebrated Valentine's on 2/15 this year...the same day we celebrated it in 2006 when we realized that we really did like each other :)

When it's TWIN night at church and your little sis gets to join in the fun with your "BRUHS"!!!

Spoiled...there is only one word for it when mom gets you the BIG stuffy on your way to just grab bananas!

All dressed up for her valentine's party at school!

I told you we WALK a lot....

LJ and Camden's Wednesday play date!!! ChickFilA and the play area at church!!!

3rd kid problems...when your BIG bro and BIG sis have late night activities on the same night!

More walks...and this time with friends.  We discovered some friends from school who live just down the street...so some days we have a few extras!!!

It's what we do for FUN....

And then we ran into this special lady, Mrs Burrow - Griffin's P4 teacher from Heritage, on a random Sunday at church!!!! God is so good!

Chaperone the 4th grade field trip they say....it will be fun, they say....

Our little CIRCLE received amazing recognition for her CREATIVITY at school!!!

When your balloon pops so your sweet friend makes one for your whole tribe!!!

She requested a blow out...I have NO idea how I'm going to keep up with her as a teenager.  Thankfully, I have a few years to go!

New swimsuits....silly girls!

So days just call for ChickFilA...pretty sure it was midwinter break, but who knows?!?!
