Celebrating in Leavenworth....Birthdays, Weddings, Friendship and More!!!

January weekends are usually filled with recovering from the holidays, getting some work done around the house, dreaming of summer and probably a little more work, work....however, this year, we got to spend an entire weekend with friends celebrating.

First, a 40th Birthday Celebration for Justin.
Second, a Fabulous Wedding for Tiffany and Chris.
Third, a great weekend of FUN with FRIENDS!

We are truly a blessed little family and have so much fun on all of our little weekend adventures.  This trip brought us to Sleeping Lady in Leavenworth, WA.  Leavenworth is a family favorite for Rich and I, but this was our first time at Sleeping Lady.  We will definitely be back.  It's rugged outdoorsy meets lush city comforts with a side of amazing food and adventure.
A perfect little retreat for a couple or a family!

Here are some pictures of our cabin!

Griffin is obsessed with the "selfie"...and is the best way to capture a cheese-ball grin from him! A little family shot (or two) before we headed out to surprise the birthday boy and celebrate his 40th birthday!

Time at the Grotto...after the surpise, was filled with a little peek-a-boo, Jenga, running around by munchkins and laughs by all!

Peek-a-boo or is it hide from Mom and Dad???  I'm thankful that it isn't "7 minutes in Heaven"....yet!

Fun times with Papa in the Grotto!

 Family shot!

Enthralled with Jenga...don't think they knew what they were doing, but there were blocks and it was fun to pull them out and put them back in the box.

The kiddos did great at dinner, but when it was over, it was time to play with the flashlight!

A little late night entertaining by Olivia and Griffin in the Library.....future musicians or just entertainers?!?!

Saturday morning, we headed to the main restaurant and enjoyed a nice walk along the way.

 These kids...
no words can describe how much fun they have together (or how much fun their parents have too).  So lucky!!!!

Liv (almost 18 months), Griffin (almost 15 months), Owen (17 months)
The Three Musketeers...destined to be life long buddies!

Who us....Little Rascals?  Never!

The boys ventured over to the "other" window....little adventure men!

In case you didn't get the memo....Saturday was Red & Black Plaid Day.

Headed back to our cabins after filling our bellies to the brim.....all the papas and the little ones!

Running without a care in the world....until one little one bit the dust!

Griffin's feet got going a little faster than his body would follow and BOOM....CRASH....BANG.....SAD FACE.

Griffin ate dirt!  Poor little man!

After a quick clean-up in the room, a fun band-aid and a kiss to make it all better, we were off to enjoy a walk with the boys (and the Bells).

Packed up and ready to head into town for a little shopping and of course, more FOOD!

Liv and Griff crashed out at Icicle Brewery....while the dads had a German Chocolate Stout and the moms to be (again) drank Hot Apple Cider!

 The boys enjoying their beers!

A picture of the "owie"  without the band-aid...this little man is such a trooper!

And another....all smiles from this little bruiser!

All dressed up and ready to hit the wedding festivities....

Papa straightening up Griffin before the wedding (gosh, I love these two)!!!
Such a handsome pair!

Dinner time!  Our table consisted of 3 high chairs and only 6 regular chairs...
is that considered the "kiddie table"?

A little fun in a room outside the reception area....
perfect for the kiddos to run and let loose (before the dancing began).

Selfie-nation!  These kiddos were obsessed with the photo opportunities!

The reception was only just beginning...but this little party animal was ready to call it a night!

Sunday morning was time to head home, but not before a little more fun!  We decided that we didn't need another bruise and bump on the head, so this time, G (and his friends) decided to hitch a ride!

G was a little unsure of what this ride was all about....

Giddy up....these kids were ready for a little fun!

Enjoying a nice stroll and not having to chase after G....

It was time to say good-bye to Sleeping Lady, good-bye to Leavenworth, good-bye to a great weekend away....but not before a final stop at Munchen Haus for beer, brats and a pretzel!

Cheers to the MAYER PARTY OF 3 ...a lifetime of happiness, love, fun and family!
Thanks for letting us be part of your special day!
