Weekend Warriors - Playing Hookie/Whidbey Edition

We started April with a BANG...playing afternoon hookie on the boat...just the hubby and I.

Even a quick HH stop off in Kirkland.

While we played...so did the kids! It was Friday funday at Grammy and Papas!

Outside living!

Griffin put on his hat and beard and said "Look at me, I'm Uncle Shawn"...

Sunshine + Doughnuts = Awesome Saturday morning!

Naptime gymnastics.

Pike-headstand anyone?

A quick after dinner walk to the Bothell landing with my favs!

Sunday morning it was a quick overnight trip to Whidbey and the tulip fields for a little family fun time.

Let's hit the beach! These 3 (and mom & dad) had so much fun.  From digging to throwing sticks, walking and just chatting...the beach and sunshine was where it was at!

I couldn't LOVE this picture any more.  My world in one snapshot.

New Loader and Dump Truck for the kids for filling up their marble jars at home...awesome rewards! They picks stuff they could share and use together.  That fills my heart!

My first love and my hubby...hahah!

Headed down the beach!

Digging for rocks with Dad.

All smiles for Mommy with my little lovebugs.

Finally...Chukar got to swim and chase sticks.

Silly time with Mommy!

Tongues out!

More swimming...more fun.

Even Millie got into throwing sticks.

Family selfie...kind of.

Naval Base.

Back to the Hotel to nap....or just run around in our underwear.

Sharing and snuggling...

even Chukar got in on the LOVE.

First hike as BIG kids...Deception Pass and 0.3 miles each way.

We started off strong...

but ended up in Daddy's arms.  G and Mommy made it up and down.  Well done!

A view along the way.

Attempt #2 at a Family Selfie.

What a VIEW.

The storm clouds came in...so we saw the tulips from afar.

A trip North isn't complete with out a Cabela's stop on the way home.

Another edition of Weekend Warriors in the books...and just like the others it was a huge success! There may have been meltdowns at restaurants, no naps and a flooded hotel...but we had family fun which made the weekend worth every second!
