NINE MONTHS OLD!!!

Griffin is NINE MONTHS OLD.
At his nine month appointment his stats were as follows:

Length: 28.82 in (71%)
Weight: 19.01 lbs (26%)
Head: 18.11 in (71%)

We STILL have a tall and skinny little man!
(Seriously, I can just copy and paste that on each update)

A few things that Griffin is now doing in MONTH NINE:

  • Dah, dah, dah
  • Mah, mah, mah
  • blah, blah, blah
  • Officially a motor mouth (just doesn't make any sense besides the words above)
  • ON. THE. MOVE.
  • Food Monster (eats and drinks EVERYTHING)
  • Master camper and sporting event attendee
  • No fear (heights, falling, animals, etc.)
  • Master cuddler (when convenient for him)
And the monthly photo shoot:

Stacie's Seattle Birthday (hello 34)!

BEST. BIRTHDAY. EVER.

Ok, I probably say that every year, but this year was awesome too!
It was a MONDAY.  We played "hooky"! It was Sunny.
I was spoiled by a day of fun with my boys.  Just perfect!

We started off the morning with a trip to the dog park with Chukar and a trip to Caffe Ladro....
then it was off to the ZOO!

It had been YEARS since either Rich and I had been to "a" zoo...and it was a blast.  So many fun things to look at, explore, learn and share with our little one.

My boys...taking in the zoo!

This little man wanted to explore a little ....

and act like the monkey he is!

All smiles with Papa.

Sophie (in G's arm) and Sophie's Mama in the background!

All tuckered out....

Next stop, the BIG Wheel in Seattle!

We were all a little nervous, but up for the adventure.

On the ride and ready for fun!

This is the "are you seriously taking a picture" look!

He might have been a little nervous too...but enjoyed the ride!

The boys!

Mama and G, having a ball.

We finished the day with a trip to one of my favorite sushi spots in Seattle...
G couldn't get enough of the chopsticks.

Another awesome Birthday adventure in the books!
Thanks R & G for making it so special!

Griffin's 1st Camping Trip!

Rich + Stacie + Chukar + Griffin + Tent + Outdoors = SUCCESS!

We headed out after work on Friday to visit some friends in Vancouver for a little pre-camping fun....all smiles with the 5 hour trip that should have taken 2!
WE LOVE I-5!

Griffin was all smiles after the long trip down...
and played with this coaster most the night! He is a cheap date!

Saturday morning, Griffin got a little quality time with "Uncle" Dan before it was time to head out!

Griffin was in charge of "supplies" for the trip, so he made sure that we got enough ice for the cooler and supervised while Papa packed the truck.

The boys were loaded in and it was time to hit the road!

On our way to our final destination, we stopped in Bingen for a little lunch (look it up...it's a cute town)!

The relationship these two have is PRICELESS...makes my heart smile just seeing these pictures!

We arrived at camp and set up the pack-n-play first....needed a place for the little man while mama and papa unloaded.  Plus, it was 95 degrees out and this little man needed shade and a nap!

A little view of our "secret" camp site...AMAZING!

This little guy was a trooper...not only was it unbearably hot out, but he had to entertain himself for quite some time.  TROOPER!!!

Camp was all set up and it was time to enjoy a nice cold beverage and hang out....that's what camping is all about, right?

LOVE MY BOYS!

Griffin even has his very own camping chair and loved to hang out in it!

Rich was able to relax a little too...and have some QT with G.

When the lights went out, Griffin's TRUE colors came out! This little man is GIDDY about camping....he seriously was so intrigued by the tent, the lantern, the items in the tent, the sleeping bag, the flashlight that he just crawled around for HOURS and giggled!

This boy is a MEYER...no doubt about it!

Making sure Chukar and Papa are coming back into the tent!

It might not have been his BEST night of sleep, but he sure had fun!

Sunday morning, Rich took G out to the river for a little Papa and Son bonding/fishing trip while Mama and Chukar had a little bonding/sleeping time in the tent.

Before packing up the campsite, we enjoy a little family time and a hike around the area. The heat cut our hike short, but we had fun!

Getting lathered in SUNSCREEN....and rocking the Mohawk!

 Ready for the morning hike...post-sunscreen!

#1 aka Chukar LOVES camping too!

 Taking in the river....

This is what "nap time" looks like while camping.

We took the LONG way home and enjoyed all of Sunday with more explorations, a trip to Bonneville Dam, Silver Lake and more!

The Taco and Mt. Adams...can you see a someone looking out the window? Such a poser!

Sunday afternoon we had a late lunch and relaxed in Stevenson....

A FAMILY SHOT!

The mighty Columbia...

A happy puppy, a happy hubby makes for a happy mama/wifey!

All tuckered out and ready to head home!

The camping trip was a MIGHTY success...just wish we had another one planned this summer!
