Words of Wisdom

These quotes were taken from an article a friend posted today and it really hit home.  So many times we get caught up on what "needs" to be done when we really need to focus on the time we have together!

Your son is following in your footsteps…so lead purposefully.

Your son wants to be like you…so live authentically.

Your son enjoys walking in your footsteps…so play frequently.

Reflecting back to a year ago, we were so anxious to meet our little person (still TBD on boy or girl) and find out what type of parents we were going to be, what type of little person would join our family, how we would make it?!?!  The questions we worried about were nothing compared to the amazing love and care we had when Griffin was born.  This day, his 351st day, we are more amazed by him than we could have ever dreamed or imagined.

Treasure those moments! Take that extra time to teach! Share love! Enjoy every moment!

As we approach his first birthday, we will take these words to heart and make sure that we are being the parents that Griffin deserves!

We will lead him with purpose and help him find his way!

We will live authentically and help guide him to live a true and honest life!

We will play frequently and promise to continue to ignite his imagination, his passion for learning and his exploration!

Little man..you have a BIG place in your mama and papa's hearts!
You continue to amaze us every second of every day!

Pumpkins & More Pumpkins with our Little Pumpkin!

Sunday morning, we rounded up the troops and headed to Craven Farms in Snohomish to show "our little pumpkin" a real live PUMPKIN PATCH.  It seems only appropriate that a Halloween Baby would need a special trip to the pumpkin patch.

4 Generations of fun at the Farm...and GG's first trip out post-pacemaker!
She is a ROCKSTAR!

The Meyer Family in their PLAID and PUFFYS...that's how we roll on a Sunday!

BIG BOY!!!

Grammy and Grandpa posing with Griffin!
Ready to take in all that Craven Farms has to offer!

 It's a Griff-Crow...watch out!
He's scary!

Someone was a little excited for his first wagon ride!

And we're off!!!

Pumpkin Patch or  BUST!

Deciding which Pumpkin he wants...

  THIS ONE!
So excited to show Grammy and Grandpa the pumpkin he found!

Headed back in!
G was so excited to see all the pumpkins...he smiled the whole morning and just posed away!  He really is a Halloween Baby!  I see some birthday parties at the pumpkin patch in our future!

Fun with PAPA!  Big CHEESE from our little Cheese-doodle!

Photo opportunities surrounded us at every turn!

Another Family Shot...it's not everyday that we have people with us to be our paparazzi!

The petting zoo!  Pigs and Turkeys!
Griffin was intrigued...

We wrapped up the petting zoo with "Dominick the Donkey"...Griffin was freaked out by the "fake" animals!  He knew they were weird!

Grammy, GG and Griffin...a few of the amazing "G's" in my life!!!

Pumpkin Doughnut...heck yeah!
He was "mmm-ing" all over the place.
This little monster has not found a food that he doesn't like!
SPECIAL TIME...just G and GG!
He is so lucky to have her (and I think she feels the same way)!

These pictures just make my heart smile...kisses and hugs with GG!

It was time to go...and G insisted on walking and showing his stuff!

We are so blessed to have such an amazing little man (and family that loves him as much as we do)!

G-you are surrounded by such supportive and amazing people!
Keep growing and doing your thing!
You Rock Little Man!
