Meyer Bell Parents Take Napa

We drank. We ate. We drank. We ate. We drank. We ate. We drank. We ate. We drank. We ate.
We came home to our families.

Well, it didn't follow that plan completely.  We did have to dig out the umbrellas.  We had an Uber with a flat tire.  We had a lady at a winery tell us "Hot to Trot" was her favorite wine. We had the best gnocchi ever created.  We had a close call with a guard rail.  We had more rain that we do at home.  We had the best parent's trip ever!  So blessed to have the best tour guides as our partners in crime.  Can't wait for the next Meyer Bell weekend sans kids!

So back to the beginning....

Yes...we were already dropping our car off at 4:59 am to get the heck out of the Seattle rain and off to Napa!

Here we go....can you spot Jen and Cam?

We've arrived and our 1st stop was brunch!

 Winery #1: Pride

Winery #2: Davis Estates

 Group Selfie!

 The exclusive wine cave....

The food and wine pairing was amazing...I have to say prior to THIS moment I was not a Pinot Noir girl.....well, I'd just never had Davis Pinot Noir.  A-freaking-mazing!

Dinner Night 1: Cook
No pictures from that night...but one of the best food experiences we have ever had.

Plus a Night Cap that included a 10-year Rye.

Winery #3: Mumm (yeah for BUBBLES)!

Every day should start with flights of bubbles!

One of the many "CHEERS"

Winery #4: Stag's Leap

Friday also included and amazing lunch at B&R, plus Winery Stop #5.

Dinner: Morimoto

Nothing like a picture with my love in front of a bunch of fish.

Nightcap #1.

Nightcap #2.

That's a wrap...and boxes to ship the fabulous wine home.

Winery Stop #6: Peju

This trip took months to coordinate...help from grandparents...planning by Jen...but is one for the books.  It was such a great trip filled with fun and friends.  Can't wait to do it again.

So this was March...I think!

So it's not often that I get monthly financial statements completed before the monthly Meyer family blog update...but add in a trip to Napa with friends, building my nutrition business and it being tax season....and it's now APRIL 17th and I'm just looking back on March.
Bear with me...March was fun, but it might take me a second to remember what we did.

Griffin started swim lessons at 4 months old and Millie started when she was about 1 year old...we took a break this past summer because "it stopped being fun".  We decided early on that we didn't want to push things on the kids...but let them help us choose when they are ready.  This spring started with swimming for both of them...and Griffin has decided on flag football and Millie on soccer for their next activities.

Here they go...DAY 1 at The British Swim School in Bothell...no awesome accent, but the kids are loving the one on one attention!

These two little people crack me up with their "thumbs up"...at some point I will be sad when they decide tokeep their tongues in theirs months and not give me thumbs up.

Breakfast on the go...given!

We've been wanting a new fence since about 2008...but it has never been a priority.  We finally made it a priority this spring and we couldn't be happier!  More privacy...and more opportunity to landscape and create the backyard of our dreams.

Birthday Party Fun!  Happy 4th Birthday Harper!

When Rich is out of town...we eat homemade pasta and watch movies with the kids! Thanks H for helping me operate single parent night at the Meyer casa.

I'm still amazing every day when they nap...I could watch them sleep for days (but Mom has stuff to get done so I snap a quick picture so I can remember these moments forever).

More swimming...must be THURSDAY!

One fun Friday, I was able to catch up with a good friend for lunch and wine...yeah for adult lady time!

And on Friday night I deserved a Chocolate Milkshake.

Goal #1 for 2017 complete! I participated in my 1st 5K.  I beat the initial time I set as my goal and am now ready to complete 5K #2 in May.  This time I'm going for 33 minutes or less!

An afternoon wine tasting in Woodinville with these handsome men.

We shopped at a different grocery store...which meant new shopping carts.  These 2 were in heaven.

Just silly selfies with Mommy to pass the time before school.

This handsome guy was all smiles when he skipped school because he was sick and got to work from home with mom.

See...the weeks fly by.  More swimming...so it must be another Thursday!

We don't always were green...but we do on St. Patrick's Day!

Bigs and Littles on St. Patrick's Day.

A quick trip to the doctor to make sure all is well...we checked out and were off to celebrate!

Yes...my 4 year old went to have a Guiness with friends for St. Patty's Day...of course, he just had a hot fudge sundae.

Sleeping at the bar...so precious.

Heather, Kat and I.  Cheers!

Super Saturday to learn, grow and build!

Sunday plus Sunshine....you know what we are doing!  BOATING.

Yes...cold enough to wear out hats, but sunny enough to have some fun.

So happy to have some extra light in the evening for walks with the family.

Look who is making a shake...I love it (and him).

Celebrating the Washington Women in Need Annual Fundraiser with my favorite WWIN board member.

....because Tuesdays we do Tacos!

Griffin's class field trip to the Woodinville Fire Station.  If you can't tell by the pictures below...it might have been the BEST day of his life.

Post field trip Coffee and Doughnuts...of course.

Ladies who lunch...I was so blessed to get to spend a Friday afternoon having a quick lunch with my ladies.  Love you girls.

Bothell Boot Camp - Take 1.  We haven't done it again...I think the coach was disappointed in the ladies.

Our school days are busy...but I wouldn't change it.  So fun to be able to do drop-offs and pick-ups (and even hit the gym most days between).  Life by design is truly a blessing.

This guy doesn't get as much love on the blog these days...but on a random afternoon that I was working from home, someone thought he was sneaky and going to steal my protein bar.  NOT GONNA HAPPEN.

Wow...this was so special.  I got to catch up with a friend from high school who was in town visiting from Arizona.  So much fun to see her and spend time with her.

Bubbles make everyday better.

Sunset boating with the family ....it doesn't get any better than this.

March ended with sunny skies and an evening on the boat...this family is so ready for spring time fun, family boating and outside adventures!!! We have been so patient...but this sunshine better get here soon!
