The reason for the season...and the fun moments in between!

December was the rush to Christmas and some much needed time without alarms, schedules and ALL. THE. THINGS!  However, I often find, that that time goes by too fast and I'm let down when it all comes to an end.  Hence, the January 6th update for December...missing my people today while they are all back doing ALL. THE. THINGS!

Basketball-poloza!  So much basketball and so much growth.  For a short season, Griffin grew a ton and we enjoyed watching him pick up some skills and have fun!

6th Grade Moms night out...so fun to kick off December with these ladies!

Between Basketball and Youth Group...the drive in the dark and the quick dinner!

We didn't hit the mountains this year...but found a perfect tree for this year! Goal is to get back on the mountain next year for a tree...and the Meyer family not getting taken out by the stomach bug on the weekend we are supposed to go!

Saturday Shakes!

Santa had enough of these kids...after all the years of them running, he decided to bail on us!

'tis the Season for fun pajamas on a random day from the elf!

Bring on the Christmas concert for the girls!

First Elementary Concert for this one....

and last Elementary Christmas Concert for this one!

Oh what fun...Reindeer Games 2024!

This night is something we look forward to each year!

These ladies are some of the best...I met them all through HCA and I cherish each of their friendships!

Of course, the husbands were there too!

Meyer Family took the WIN...year 2 in a row.

Out the door early for an adventure day with the Sullivan family.

First stop, driving through big puddles and TACOS!

Fun morning in the mud...

Next up...looking for snow!  We failed with snow, but had fun in the woods!

This lady has been such a rock for me this past 5 years...whether she is leading my bible study, partnering on the school board, doing life or just being amazing, I owe a lot to her and thank God for her friendship!

Smores....Coffee...Fire....Fun!

The girls got a reward for cleaning out their closet and keeping it clean for a week...they are actually on 1 month now, and I'm so happy!  They decided this was TOO much...but enjoyed it!

Christmas spirit week...this was "LIVING CHRISTMAS TREE" Day.

And one tree came home sick.

Recreating a picture from when he was little.

Next up..."UGLY CHRISTMAS SWEATER" Day.

Guess who is back on the RUN?

Helping in Millie's class for her Christmas party.

A favorite...the Living Nativity in Bellevue!  Drive through the road to Bethlehem and end with Jesus' birth!

End of week slime making with the Kindergarten class.

And then the Kindergarten Christmas party!

Wrapped up the last day before Christmas break with Christmas Chapel...a time to worship and celebrate the birth of Jesus as a whole school.

Kicking off break with a NU basketball game with some of  G's team.

Saturday was my work Christmas party at Enchant in Seattle.  So fun to share this with the kids.

It was something we had never done and it was fun to experience it.

Ended the night at Dick's....best decision ever.

Getting our workout on over break!

Off for some last minute errands before Christmas!

Christmas Eve we did something new and had friends over for brunch and church.  Such a great way to start the celebrating!

Cheers to Christmas at Canyon Hills!

After Church, it was celebrating with Grammy, Papa, Aunt Roxy and the O'Malley family.

Grammy and Papa with the Grands!

Auntie Roxy with the grands!

Christmas MORNING...all smiles and ready to dive into some special gifts from Santa (and Mom and Dad)!

In the spirit of trying new things...we went to Dave & Busters and Fogo de Chao for Christmas evening.  It was a fun experience and one we will definitely do again!

Fancy dinner on Christmas...and no dishes for Mom and Dad!

That's a wrap...the day after Christmas lounge session.

And one more event with friends to wrap up the season...Ice Skating!

We joined the O'Stacey clan for an afternoon of skating and then dinner and games!  Fun way to keep the joy of the season going!

Mom and Dad need a little more practice.

As 2024 comes to a close...I'm so grateful for so many  things...it might seem silly, but finding F45 and getting healthy this year has been HUGE for me.  Finding something sustainable, fun and motivating is just the best. Wrapping up 2024 with 399 classes...

So...as I get ready to spend the last few days of 2024 quiet and reflecting...I want to remember to take the best thing I learned into 2025...keep it simple!  It doesn't make it easy...but keeping it simple will be the best way.

I choose this with my time with God, my family, my friends, my diet, my exercise and hopefully my overthinking self.  Make the call.  Be disciplined.  Be consistent.  Be reliable.  Be kind.  Be filled with hope.  Spread love.  Be content with the path that God has laid out in front of you!!!

Cheers to a happy rest of 2024 and the very best 2025!!!
