Millicent's Birthday!

The day started off the same as most,  however, there was a special feeling about the day knowing that we were going to welcome a new member to our family.

As we were wrapping up packing for the hospital and getting ready to drop the boys off for a few day, Griffin decided to put daddy's socks and shoes on!  He did a great job and even got them on the right feet.  One day Rich might need to lock his closet, otherwise, this little man might "borrow" his clothes.

We dropped Chukar off first and said our good-byes and then headed up to drop Griffin off at my parent's house!

The last time our family was together before we added our newest addition!  He was all smiles and ready to have a few days at Grammy and Grandpa's while Mommy and Daddy spent some time at Hotel Overlake.

We left my parents and headed to the hospital to find out if Barracuda was a HE or a SHE...the experience before we welcome 'cuda to our family was a lot less dramatic than it was when we welcomed Monster.

We got admitted to the hospital and headed back to our room, filled out some paperwork and prepared for the c-section.  It was all nurses, needles, doctors and more until it was time to head into the operating room and welcome 'cuda to the world!  I even walked back to the OR all....no stretcher, no wheelchair.  We all took our final bets on Boy or Girl and Rich and I both held strong with BOY.

At 1:09 pm on Thursday, June 26th we welcomed our daughter, Millicent Grace into the world. She was 20 inches long and weight 8 pounds, 2 ounces.  Rich and I were in complete shock and brought to tears when Dr. Graham announced that our little 'cuda was a SHE!  It was such an amazing and emotional experience and in my mind the coolest way to find out the sex of your baby!

The time in the OR was quick and we were back in our room to enjoy a little skin to skin with Miss Millicent and introduce her to the world.

First looks at the little lady!

All 10 toes!  Her feet are so small and dainty!

Look at all this hair...this little lady came out with enough dark locks to already put a bow in!

Daddy and Nurse Rita cleaning up Millie.

All the details on the wall.

A daddy and his daughter...she already has him wrapped around her little adorable fingers (and mine too).

A fun experience we had the day of was our photographer being there to capture the moments...I can't wait to see the pictures.  Here  is a little look into Chantel's lens.

Grammy was prepared with ribbons and bows
...and this little lady was already enjoying dress up time!

Millicent's little feet!

Moments after being back in our room...a little time with mommy and daddy!

After a few hours in the recovery room, we headed to the Mommy/Baby room to complete our stay at Hotel Overlake.  One of our 1st visitors was all smiles to see Mommy and Daddy...but wasn't to sure about Baby Sister Millicent.

Great-Grandma Gloria aka GG with her 5th Great-Grand!

GG and Great Auntie Roxy meeting Millicent.

Grammy cuddling on Miss M.

A close-up shot of the little lady.

Griffin checking out his new sister...he wasn't quite sure about her and most of the visit tried to ignore her.

Mommy and baby!  Can you believe how precious she is?!?!

The first family shot...Griffin showing us where Millicent's nose is!
Anything to keep him with a photo frame of his sister!

After a nice visit, Griffin saying good-bye to Mommy and Millicent.

After heading home from his visit with us, he wrapped up the night with Grandpa and Grammy.

Welcome to the family Miss Millicent Grace...we love you to the moon and back and are so happy to have you in our lives.  Today marks Day One of the Meyer Fab Five!  Together we are unstoppable!

The End of Spring and a Chapter in our Story....

The final days of Spring were also the final days as a family of 4...where, in true Meyer fashion, we tried to pack as much fun and family time into the limited number of days!

Wednesdays = Play Dates and this past Wednesday was special because Chukar got to enjoy some fun and join his little brother Griffin at the Bell's!

The boys were packed up and we were off for an afternoon of fun!

Couch pictures!  I love these and can't wait to look back at 20 years of these and remember all the great times with these kiddos!

Andrew, Olivia and Griffin posing for the camera!

And the fun outside begins...of course, Lola and Chukar had so much fun that I couldn't ever get a picture of both of them in one frame!  Trust me, they both needed to burn the "stink" off!

Kids, Dogs, Toys and sunshine...a fun Wednesday!

A future gardener or just a helper?!?!

Olivia was putting the moves on Griffin...he might look a little nervous here, but I think he was excited that she was putting the moves on him.

He decided that instead of a kiss, maybe she wanted a rock?  Oh G, someday you are going to be mad that you didn't take the kiss when you had the opportunity.

Finally, the kiss is mutual!

Most of June, G had Grammy and Grandpa to himself since Jilly was home with her new sister and mommy.

This morning, G is enjoying pancakes and selfies!  Such a little ham when the camera comes out.

The final weekend before baby involved a ton of home projects, both inside and out.  Here is Griffin supervising Rich in the backyard while devouring snacks.  Such a hard life and a great supervisor!

It wasn't all work and no play...we did meet up with Grammy and Grandpa Boness for dinner at one of our favorite spots in Edmonds.

Another day, another celebration!  This time to celebrate my cousin Randy's graduation from high school.  Here is GG with some of her grandchildren and all of her great-grandbabies.

Monday, June 23rd marked my sister-friend's birthday and we went to Anthony's to celebrate!

Below is another day of fun for G...this time at Auntie Jenn's house for part of it playing with all of Jilly's toys (and then Jillian too).

Coffee break with Grandpa Mike.

Yes, partners in crime (most of the time up to NO GOOD).

The week that baby was scheduled to arrive was also a week that we didn't EVER feel like having dinner at home...this was a quick dinner to Julio's and G was digging his favorite guacamole!

Evening cuddles with daddy...he totally knew something was up!

The day before the BIG day...G and I kept ourselves VERY busy and played, played, played.  We started the morning with a playdate with the toddler group at the park.  G loved the BIG slide and insisted on going down multiple times.

Next up, a trip to the OB followed by a playdate with Olivia and swim lessons!

We ended the night at the Hollywood Tavern for dinner and a final escape as a family of 4 (of course, Chukar didn't get to come to dinner, but he is part of this family)!

All smiles during the FINAL selfie before Griffin became a BIG BROTHER!

It was time to head home, relax and prepare to welcome a new Meyer to the world!
