Back to School BLUR....

September is the month where pure chaos takes over...there are many new schedules, different wake up times, schedules and more...and the goal is to at least find 30 minutes for cuddles in the morning and another 30 minutes for dinner each night.  Thankful that we can typically carve this time...and some days last is first and first is last...so here's the end of September back to the beginning :)

A friend shared this quote today (as I recap the month that was, and it's just perfect for this season)....

"The upcoming months can be filled with checklists, stress and unforeseen chaos.  But what if this year you decided to pause before the busyness of each day and set your heart on the Truth of God's Word? Oh friend, when life is too much, Jesus is enough."

We ended September with a "ROLL BACK TO SCHOOL" party that had all of us on 4 wheels for a few hours...and only some of us on our behinds more than our feet!  Present company excluded...I might have been slow, but I stayed upright the whole night!

These kiddos were all smiles to START and END the night!  5 stars for rollerskating fun!

That day when the littlest get a surprise lunch with Mom & Dad and whisked off to the new Paw Patrol movie.  I love the special surprises and carving out special time with each kiddo!

Looks like we are waiting for the doors to open..managing the new drop off schedule this year has been nuts...Griffin 745, Millie 8am, Leighton 820.  Good times for mama (and dad too) for the hour of drop offs, but it's such a joy to have the ability and the moments of random times in the car.

Ford...settling in and figuring out how this "Growing Up Meyer" life is lived best!

Cheer for the Middle Little and Gymnastics for the Little Little...keeping us busy for sure!

National Day of Prayer...so special that our school comes together each week at chapel for prayer, but appreciate the special group prayer on this special day!

Cheer Fundraiser at the Pizza Coop

A win-win...Griffin gets to gain confidence reading aloud and Leighton gets books read aloud!

And then Daddy turned 45!!!!

And Mom and Dad got to take a special "PARENTS WEEKEND" to the lake to celebrate...it's not that often that we get to do this, but we try to at least once (if not twice a year).

Well, I guess not totally parents only...the littlest little came for the adventure.

Ford was able to have his first "check cord" hike and get ready for the birds!

He loved it...and will have many many more adventures with Rich to come!

Birthday boating for the Birthday Boy (and of course, all the pictures are of Ford)!

Even a Birthday Fish! This guys doesn't seem to get to fish as much as he used too, so it's fun when he gets a day to do what he loves.  And me, I just love to see him happy.  It's my jam!

Back at home...these crazies with Grammy & Papa holding down the fort!

And, of course....the rainiest game of the season and this girl cheered her heart out!  Spirit Stick for Millie and Grammy being the trooper who sat in the rain and cheered our girl on!

Treats and Fun and sleep overs...oh my!

Back to routines for mama too...Precept study this fall is 1 Peter and back the the "5 in the morning club" at F45!

Look at us...all ready for some fall/winter hang sessions with the furniture and heaters.

Game Day Saturday...always nice when the game is in our backyard!

Griffin tried something new this fall too...Heritage has middle school soccer and Griffin is having a blast with the team!  He's even picking up some skills and enjoying the routine each day!

This girl...growing up too fast for mama!

Special treats after gymnastics...shhhhh, it's our secret sis!
When Ford comes to drop off...

Can't forget about the fun birthday celebration for one of LJ's friends...and big sis got to come too!

Um did you say DATE NIGHT...woo hoo!  Looks like I need to schedule another...since it's been 6 weeks.

Being the 3rd kid is hard work...

And then it was the first day of SCHOOL...

Griffin - 5th Grade, Millicent - 4th Grade, Leighton - PreK

The plus of half days...afternoons of fun with mom on Wednesday and Friday (well, everyday for LJ since she gets to have fun days with Grammy on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday)!

Treats after school to hear all about the 1st day....

Day 2....mom and LJ are not quite ready for this new routine!

And then it was Leighton's first day!!!

What a busy week...but the first days were over and the kids got to have a little R&R!

When you get this picture....

and you are doing this....

You send the kids to get ice cream with the sitter :)

And that was September...with a final wrap up of birthdays, bumping into friends and FORD-IE!!!
