Oh May...you are always filled with so much fun and hope for the SUMMER to come. The burn out of the school year is real, but the fun times with concerts, field day, Memorial Day and more keep us energized and full of hope!
This year was extra special because May was the first time our family of 5 was able to stay at the cabin together...Rich and Papa got out to the cabin 1st to get the beds unloaded and more work done. Honestly, it was 2 months ago and I don't even remember the "punch" list of items they did, but I know that it made our trip on May 6th that much better :)
Night ONE...574 days after we closed on the land....1 year, 6 months and 28 days that were worth EVERY second of the wait.
Wide. Open. Spaces.
Time for the kids to learn the value of some good old fashioned hard work.
Setting up the "temp" bunk room.
All tucked in for night 1.
Always work to be done...and cleaning the dishes from 2001. :)
Special treats at the Love Birds.
That's a wrap...4 sleepers and mama at the wheel.
My girls!
1st Annual Father Daughter Dance...so proud that we were able to do this.
The girls got their hair done special
All ready to go!
Off for a fun night with Daddy.
While this guy and I ate our hearts out with tacos :) Love the one on one time with this guy who is growing up so darn fast!
Mother's Day...my babies with me and my babies with my mama <3
My garden babies!
Concert-palooza!!!
Preschool Concert Tuesday and Elementary Concert Thursday! So impressed by the amazing music program at HCA. Fun to see the growth each year in the kiddos too! Millie was part of choir this year and absolutely loved it. She obviously does not get her musical talent from me.
I'm guessing it's Friday...not sure why the picture :)
Lunch date at the Cottage with the little and the love.
Suns out...and water on the trampoline!
I can only assume this are pictures for daddy when he was on a "mission to the lake"!
Field Day FUN!!!
These are the ladies who have the blood of HCA pump through them each day!!! Couldn't do what I do without their love and support!
My BIGS!!!
Oh the face paint....
And straight from field day we hit the road for the lake....
Morning walks and loving this time.
Starting to feel more like "our cabin" and of course, Chukar has a forever spot there.
Ron's fries :)
New BBQ set up and Rich is rocking the grill.
It's POOL-thirty!
First trip of the season on the water...and the kids are big enough to play and have a blast on "Florida Island".
Wildlife sighting of the trip....Wild Horses.
And that's a wrap...naps for all!
Open spaces and fun things to explore as we settle in.
Might have been our 1st Memorial Day weekend at the lake...but it's not our last. Can't believe we get to call this place ours. So very blessed.
Back home and wrapping up the school year with a special brunch for all the volunteers who helped make PTF a success this year.
And that's a wrap May....more furniture to head to the lake and Millie's math spot for the end of school! Pretty sure the May trip to the lake was when we checked out for summer...and I'm totally ok with that!
