June Days

June...what a month, we had some of the best experiences and also said goodbye to my sweet Grandma...life is full of moments and I sometimes get criticized by being  ALL "rainbows and sunshine" but I find JOY in all the moments and have learned to being content is the best place to be.

Each moment, each experience, each day is a gift and even on my hardest days, I am so thankful for the love I get to share and grow in each day.

A special celebration in 4th grade where ALL my kids got to go.  Millie completed 4th grade math this year and got to celebrate with an Ice Cream sundae party...Griffin got to join in since it was his class (even thought he completed 5th grade math).  So proud of those little.  LJ got to come because she's my sidekick

End of year assembly -insert 3rd graders reciting the Declaration of Independence and a video that left not a die eye in the school!

Volleyball camp...sounds like fun!  Millie was the youngest there but had a blast! So thankful for the sweet 7th grade girls who let her be BIG.

Girls Day!

Rich and Griffin had a fun Trail Life camp out...all smiles from the boys while they did ALL. THE. BOY. THINGS!!!

And then the crew was back together for an AquaSox game before kicking off the last week of school!

When you have a summer birthday...you get to celebrate early at school!

When it's the last week of school and it's 85 outside...you say, LET'S SWIM...we were all over the work and I may have given my kids permission to let loose and say no to homework.  I mean, I have to be a FUN MOM sometimes :)

That day where Griffin decided to take the swim test...and Millie too!  Woo hoo, 2 independent swimmers <3
Last Day of School party for Leighton!  Thanks Grammy and Auntie Roxy for taking her to spend time with her friends!

And then she got a new BIG girl bike!

And that's a wrap 2022-23 school year....

Leighton is off to P5 in the fall.

Millie is off to 4th grade and Griffin is off to 5th grade!!!

School's OUT for SUMMER!

Time.....
IS....
A THIEF!!!!
End of school luncheon for teacher's and board...so the kids came and hung out like the "staff" kids they are!

Fun night to get dressed up for work...Graduation!

And SUMMER STARTS NOW...I mean, it started earlier for us, but officially the summer season is upon us!

Off to Grammy Day Camp....

Filled with FUN, SUN and tons of LOVE!
Trail Life End of Year BBQ...that's a wrap.  A fun 2 years the boys spent learning and growing!

When your BFF is in town...you enjoy your time together! And then...you get a nasty trampoline accident and wiggly tooth!!

All good and off to the LAKE...
Funny poop stickers!
And we arrived!

Each trip it feels a little more like our place...and it's fun to keep figuring it out and spend time there.  What a fun/wild journey it has been.

LEGO time...we have no more space for BIG Legos at home, so now they come to the cabin.

Putting some nails in the walls and making more memories!

When you had the best Grandma and lose her...not really a place I even have words for yet, but gosh am I sooo grateful to have her for 96 years...me for 43 and the kids for so much time.  Love her and miss her, but know that she is watching us from heaven.

So...she told us to get out on the lake and enjoy life...so that's what we did!

Special Father's Day gift for my "pioneer" hubby...so proud of him  taking the hard road, helping us and growing along the way.

Seems pretty appropriate to announce the newest member of the family...FORD HANK MEYER :)

Father's Day at Lunch and North 40!

Back to basics and spending some quiet time together working through their bible studies.

When you come to the hardware store with mom...you get a special treat.  Especially when it's 45 minutes away!

Back to the beach and to just hang...

A trip well spent!

Headed home and Griffin got to experience his first WHOPPER, WHOPPER.  Insert silly song here!

Post Summer Camp Snacks...

The birthday girl asked for a special dinner with Grammy & Papa at Tipsy Cow!  DONE!

So there are times in life when time just goes...Griffin had mentioned he wanted to go on a mission trip with church and HE did!  He signed up, he shared why he wants to serve and he attended all the classes in preparation.  He was a little anxious and a little upset to miss his sister's birthday, but he showed that he was growing and that was his desire.

I feel like it wasn't that long ago where I was rocking him and questioning who he would be...now I know that he has his path, a great head on his shoulders and a confidence that grows when he serves.  What a true joy it is to be his mom.

Dropped G off and headed East for Millie's birthday weekend!

We made it...mom isn't swollen at all (hahah) from her mouth surgery.
Special gift from GG and Aunt Roxy for the lake <3
And then we had a BIRTHDAY girl!

G left her a card and special gift since he couldn't be there.

And then she was 9!!!! Her hat sums her up "Trust God and Chill".  She's got a great head on her shoulders, a heart the size of Washington and a stink eye that will keep the boys away for a little bit longer. She trusts the Lord with her whole heart and knows the amazing plans He has for her.
This little light is NINE!!!
The world needs more light and Millicent shines bright!  Thanks for being YOU and for God making me your mama!!!

The birthday girl wanted a birthday cruise!

It is so fun to see the dynamic of these 2 when they get to just be sisters/friends and love their moments as 2.  We sure missed bubba, but it is so special to see kids bond in a unique way. Millie shines as a big sis when she is given the opportunity.

Let's go Fly a Kite!

And this right here is a pure slice of heaven on earth....

Homemade Oreo Mint Chocolate Chip Fudge Birthday Cake!

More setting up, moving and adjusting!
The "new" guest room!

The new King for the master.

Final morning of Millie's birthday trip before we headed home to go pick up the BIG boy from his mission trip.

One of the best things is the daily pictures that the church sends...I jokingly call them proof of life, but it gives me so much joy to see my little boy (little man) thriving, serving and smiling for the Lord!

As the week went on, I started calling them "proof of loaf" as his mop top got bigger and loafier :)

We picked him up....and  he was POOPED! His only request was JULIO's.....

The girls were soooo happy that Big brother was home (and we were too)!

Bye Bye BYE...loaf man!!!

Wrapped up June with a FUN night at the Conard's Cabin...

And off to July we go...
