May came in like a LION, hung around like a LION AND never left! There may have been more than 30 days that I contemplated how much longer I can live in a place where the RAIN NEVER ENDS....but then the sun comes out, like it always does and I'm back to loving this little area and not cursing the grey days of the past!
May Day was GIRLS day as the boys headed on a special trip to say hello and spend time with a special someone.
So in true MEYER girl fashion...we enjoyed church, some flowers and a fancy sushi dinner!
The boys brought back these 3 monkeys for our 3 monkeys from Kennewick Grandma.
Practicing writing her name and enjoying all the fun worksheets Mrs. Taylor sent home for her to keep cruising this summer.
A very special bridal shower for my friend Stephanie...wait until you see what a beautiful bride she was later in May! God sure placed this lady in my life at the right time. Her strength and love help me so much.
What do you do when it's Cinco de Mayo and Dad is out of town....you take the troops to Julio's anyway and run into a few of your favs!!! Hellos Gabs and Wells!!! Just added a few chairs and enjoyed the evening as a big HCA family.
Smiles for DADDY!
FINALLY.....after 8 months of school I got to go into Millie's class for a Mother's Day morning!
After the fun, it was time for an All School Hot Dog lunch to celebrate the end of testing week.
Round 1 of Hot Dogs for the boys..
So, it's all fun and games until someone falls off the picnic table and cracks her head open and the ambulance come and you go to children's and ...... GORY Photos Ahead.
All is well that ends up with smiles and a popsicle!
It's amazing how AMAZING Children's is...so thankful to have it in our backyard.
And then it was MOTHER'S DAY...
I feel truly blessed to get to MOM these 3.
After the morning with my monkeys...I got to spoil my mom with brunch and wine tasting. So fun to have time together.
Ok...this was the first share chapel one of my kids got to participate in and it was amazing!!! They shared from "LORD TEACH ME HOW TO PRAY" a devotional that Griffin and I both did this spring!
Must be WEDNESDAY!!!
That one time mama got her hair DID...yep, I added some "depth" to the mop top.
A random Friday where you just let you kid play at school all afternoon and stick around for the movie that night too....
And then it was the ANDREOTTI wedding...and I got a special date night with the HUBS.
This moment...NOT a dry eye in the place!
This beautiful mom and friend getting her happily ever after.
Ah, the place in my heart that is for this woman is HUGE. She has helped me grow so much and is a rock for all my times I need talking off the ledge!
The HCA crew!
And then it was the DAY....the day where Rich, Griffin and I were able to share in front of our family and church our commitment to the Lord.
To stand beside these MEN on this day was something I am so proud of.
My greatest hope for my children is that they love the Lord more than I love each of them. Being able to hold his hand today as he shared his commitment was something so special. May we continue to walk in faith and love, always shining His light and love for all we cross paths with.
We did it! Post Baptism celebration at my parents!
And then we got concrete...meaning the projects could start moving around here again!
Making our mark ...permanently!!!!
Testing out the new walkway!
Chukar wasn't able to get out back for the last 6 months...he's so happy to have his old stomping ground back!
Breaking in the new area with sticky popsicles!
And then, it was FIELD DAY!!!
Back in full force this year and everyone got to go (even Millie after a quick bout with the 'vid)!
LJ's class was first up for fun!
These little beginners had a ball and celebrated with cupcakes at the end!
