A little late...but beyond worth the wait! We were supposed to head to the hospital at 6:30am, but were delayed until 12pm due to a baby explosion at Overlake! We got the call while running errands and finalizing the hard woods...nothing like maximizing time to the very end!
A scheduled c-section takes a little of the "wah-la" away from the day...but this c-section seemed to take a little longer than the previous 2, so there was a moment of fear and uncertainty in the OR. It seemed like hours went by before we heard Dr. Otto say "IT'S A GIRL"!
Rich and I both took a deep breath and could not believe that our little TIEBREAKER was here and it was GIRL. The nurse said she looked healthy and we found out she was 9 lbs, 4 oz!
SHE WAS HERE!!!!
The first hours with her in our arms are a blur, but holding her for the very first time WE knew our family was complete! Leighton was the perfect addition.
The not so glamorous side of recovery, but worth every stinking second of it.

GG was staying with us to recover after her little (BIG) scare...so she got all the LJ snuggles when we arrived home.

No words can sum up how LJ has completed our family...it's like something you didn't know you were missing was given to you! This first month has been a blur...but I've taken time every single day to enjoy the craziness of it all. It is the BEST feeling in the world!
