Rich flew to Nashville to meet me....and we headed to a parents only, pre-baby #3, pre-40th birthday, celebration in GUNTERSVILLE, ALABAMA. Where you say? Well, a bass haven that Rich wanted to check out and I was game to give it a try.
Night one, we found a little spot for dinner...and even though we looked a wreck, we headed in. Some of the best food and fun little spot.
Day ONE on the lake and on a fun little BASS boat!
The first FISH of the trip.
I couldn't last on the boat as long as Rich...so he did some solo fishing too!
Just a little STORM to darken the day....scariest day of my life knowing Rich was on the lake and there was heavy rain, lightning and hail.
Another day and MORE fish!
So relaxing...just Rich, some sunshine and R&R on the lake.
And this is what it was ALL ABOUT!!!
GUNTERSVILLE BABY!
Best dinner ever.....and not a picture to share. A 100 year old building, a speak-easy type bar, food that was all chef inspired.
One more day in Gunterville....
Back to Nashville for our final day...we toured the city and walked all over.
Had to check out Uncommon James...fun little store.
We spent our last night in Nashville in the Gulch district and had a great time...funny how parents only trips are build more on time together than pictures.
It was an early flight...but we were ready to get home to the kids!!!!
