Here WE go...September starts and pure chaos ensues (the good kind)!

Holy SMOKES...when the first day of school hits on September 1st, it's kind of just a rip off the band aid and dive right in.  No slow start into the school year...and really no "goodbye" to summer.  So, we went from no alarms to a schedule to requires a lot of prayer to keep us on time, on track and not losing our minds each day.  Could it be different? Sure. And I'm not complaining...this season of chaos is my favorite.

As this year starts, it's amazing that we have had the opportunity to have all 3 of our kids at the same school since forever.  This is Griffin's 12th year at Heritage...WOW!!!

Griffin, 8th grade. Millicent, 7th grade. Leighton, 2nd grade.

First Day Convocation to kick off the new school year.

The first week ended with Fall Away for the Middle school with a time to worship together, connect and have some fellowship.  I was lucky enough to get to drive a load of kids and hang out for the day with these 2.

Back to Back cheer to kick off the season...

Cheer was done and we were off to the cabin for a little Labor Day weekend away.

Nothing better than waking up and hitting the lake. Ford even got to join the fun.

The weekend went by fast...but it's always worth the trip over to unplug and hang with the crew.

One last "summer" trip to Aqua Club before the season comes to an end.

Just doing my gym duty with the big kid.

My carpool buddy to all the things!

Sports Spirit Day, check!

Another Saturday...another day cheering.

The RE-DO...Millie and I missed our Anne Wilson concert in 2024 so we had a redo when she came back to town.  An epic night out with my middle love.

Such a fun night and we even got to "touch" AW and her opening act was a special moment for us girls.

This kid is now a "REGULAR" on Sundays at church.  He's been on worship for almost a year and get to spend the day on stage once a month.  This Sunday he was "traveling" which had him serving at 4 services: 2 middle school, 2 high school.  So fun to be his groupie.

Not just cheer season for Millie...she's praying MS Volleyball too!

And, serving on the Worship team at church too.

Looks like we have another Saturday of cheer!

This season has been a lot of GOOO, GOOO, GOOO...and it's fun seeing both girls really enjoying the season.

A SAD day...our last dinner at Julio's. An absolute staple for our family since before Griffin was born...our kids were raised on the guacamole, grew up on the quesadillas and graduated to the carnitas in the past few years.

Then it was time to celebrate this guy's BDAY!!!

A glorious day for brunch on the water and a nice walk about the town.

Back for some more VB.

And the real day celebrating between sports and school and kids and church and work and ....life.  We are so blessed with this season. HBD to my favorite guy.

Still strumming along...

and serving with power!

Rich headed out early...but the kids and I held out until school was out and headed EAST for a little time away for Rich's birthday! Our favorite time at the lake is September and with other commitments, we tend to not get there as much as we'd love to.

BUT, the Big Guy asked...and we were able to get over to celebrate HIM.

Sunshine and LAKE days!

Quick trip over...and then back to get to 5:30 service.  McDonalds...only with mom and the dangerous way home on Hwy 2.

And yes, G has been playing soccer at HCA too!

Thanks September...you were full of it all and we had some fun with all the moving pieces!
