Um...it's like the Lake, the Lake, Summer Camp, Cousin Camp and lots more time at the lake...part 2 of summer we were surrounded by water and soaked up every second of it. Looking back on the summer, it was different than others, but also was a summer that our kids had to grow up and step into new roles in the family. I'm always looking for the opportunity during challenging times and this summer gave us many opportunities to grow.
As with these darn uploads...they are constantly at of order, but it was summer and structure wasn't really part of it. And also with pictures...they say more than me about this time.
It was fun!!!!
So grateful for the extra hands that helped this tribe this summer!
We ended July with a Cousin trip to the lake!!! Tubing, Paddleboards, Coffee, Ice Cream, Face masks and more. It was a great time for the cousins to bond and for Rich and I to witness what amazing friends they are!!!
Off we go for 4 days of fun....
This is 46!!! Dinner out with my boys and cake at home with the family.
Cheer camp started in late July and the girls were excited to be back!
Big kids first time on the paddleboards!
Summer 2025...Millie became a TUBING machine!!!
We even got all the kids on for a ride or 3.
Our favorite little beach retreat spot!
New hair for 7th grade!
And we hit another milestone this summer. 16 years of bumps in the road...I mean of our happily ever after! Better known as content in the plan and loving it!
Finding Mile 16 and the actual 7/18/2025 picture <3
When you don't make it home from camp in time to pick up your kids...
When the bigs are away....we will fish and still have loads of fun. A glimpse of what life will look like one day.
This summer...the paddle boards were our anniversary gift and it was so fun to test them out.
And we got our 2024 anniversary gift sign up on our happy place :)
Mom got the 1st fish on trip without G & M. It's not often I get to fish...or choose to! I like to be the book reading snack coordinator on the boat!
Someone is happy we made it to the lake (who am I kidding, we all are)!
Off without the big kids...
We attempted a CAMP out...safe to say we were back in our beds about 15 minutes later.
Summer painting...
LJ even got to attend VBS this year!
Griffin and Millie attended a week at summer camp...while Rich, Leighton and I spent the time at the cabin! Safe to say, everyone had fun!
The experiences these kiddos have at CHCC summer camps have been exceptional...so grateful for all the leaders who put so much time into these camps and for the opportunity for our kids to go!
Summer flies by but the moments building our family and pouring into these kids and these experiences will never be something I wish would go as fast as it does. TIME PLEASE SLOW DOWN!!!
