This is our HAPPY place...and a trip we plan on making for many years to come! Loaded up in late June and ready to head over to Lake Roosevelt!
This trip has become an ANNUAL must do and it was fun to show our newest addition this special little slice of heaven! Welcome to the STAR LAKE CABIN!!! You better believe if this little place ever goes on the market, we WILL be doing everything in our power to buy it.
The longest roadtrip to date as a family of 5...and it was definitely a struggle...but we made it and managed to capture a quick picture with 5 smiling faces (and 1 happy dog) before our vacation really began!
One of the kids favorite spots (inside) is the "toy room"...I mean, every VRBO should have this.
Day ONE....swimwear on and it's off for a day of adventure!
These 2 are old vets when it comes to launching and hitting the lake. They head down with dad while mom and LJ park the truck and trailer...it's become almost "easy" to get on the lake with the big kids!
A week filled with sun, water, family, fishing and LAUGHS....this is why Lake Roosevelt is our happy place!

Back in June LJ wasn't super sure of life while "not being held"...but Rich proved that he can fish and hold a baby. Yep, multi-tasking at it's best.
With fun time on the LAKE...comes equally fun time on LAND. The kids love exploring new beaches each day and have so much fun digging, building, splashing and more.
Leighton even explored the sand a little...she doesn't really have a choice when it comes to loving the lake, beach, boat and more.
This picture sums up "GROWING UP MEYER" life.
How many napping kids do you count in this picture? 3! Yes, all 3 found times to nap together with the hum of the engine which is super fun for Rich and I to have a little quiet time too!

It is NEVER lost on me how special our family time at the lake is....it's safe to say, these 3 had a blast...so much so, that we hit the lake up again in August for Lake Roosevelt 2.0.
