What do you get when you stack a Tri-Cities Meyer Family Visit plus a Lake Roosevelt trip and this crazy group....give up? A fun-filled, goofy-town, crazy family adventure!
Some smiles...some pouts...some NO pictures...some let's get on the road and ONE family selfie.
Here we go...the Meyer kids did great on the trip as we made our way East.
We made it to Grammy and Papa's and it was instant time for boots, shovels, dirt and fun.
The campsite was set up and we were ready to try our first "camping" experience with all of us in one tent. It was great to have the controlled campground of Rich's parents backyard (and a bathroom not far away).
Relaxing in our camping chairs.
Night one in the tent was a success! It took a little time to get everyone settled, but by the time I turned out the lights everyone was down for the count.
Happy 2nd Birthday Millie...the REAL day!
The choice to go boating or stay and play...the birthday girl chose BOATING. In true Millie fashion, she was asleep within about 10 minutes on the boat.
Uncle Shawn came along for the fun.
Fish on, Rich!
Little Miss Sunshine was awake and ready to enjoy some boating.
Time for Cake!
Hmmm, what do I want for my birthday?!? (and who is this BIG girl...it's can't be my little Millie).
Blow out your candles little LADY!
Big brother was pretty happy for the celebration too!
Millie's birthday really wore these two out!
On the Road again...next stop Lake Roosevelt (via multiple detours to the DOL)!
Our little Home away from Home....Lake Roosevelt!
Let's hit the LAKE!
Monday night exploring.
This boat became our 2nd home for the trip and the kids loved it almost as much as Rich and I.
Whatcha doing Daddy?!?
This family plays hard...and sleeps harder!
Practicing some fishing before hitting the Lake for Day #2!
And we are off...on this expedition Chukar got to join in on the fun.
My family!
The swimmer of the family.
Watching Chukar swim!
Fish on...again, and again, and again!
All worn out and comfy-cozy on the boat.
A Walleye...I guess a rare catch for Mr. Meyer...so I had to show him up and catch the only one of the trip.
Smiles. Fish. Sun. Fun. Repeat for a week!
Afternoon rest time in the tiny bed on the Sun porch...these 2 were inseparable.
Griffin, Daddy and a Green Bridge.
More adventures...more time for Millie to sleep.
And sleep.
This silly boy loved the fishing deck and dangling his feet over the side.
Evening fishing.
FISH ON!
Someone caught a fish...I'm guessing Daddy.
Griffin's 1st FISH...the video was priceless, but the pictures are pretty cute too!
Kiss the fish before we put him back in the Lake. Griffin told us he would miss his Fish.
Beautiful evenings spent on the lake with the family...memories that will last a lifetime.
Another day...another adventure. This time to Porcupine Bay.
Land-ho Matey! Digging in the dirt is good...digging in the SAND is AWESOME.
Quiet time with my little man...dangling feet in the water.
Proof that I was on this adventure and caught my fair share of fish.
These two were pretty comfortable on the boat before our trip...now I'm sure they could live on it.
Rich in his happy place...Boat. Fish. Family. Fun.
Evening PB&J before we set off for Grand Coulee Dam.
Our 1st and 2nd Mate.
Nothing better than dinner on the boat.
Grand Coulee Dam.
Heading back in...
Big Sissy!
Last evening...slaying fish. Total Count brought to the boat = 31!
These kids!
Miss Millie was getting the hang of it...but I still would look away if she was flinging that thing around!
Seriously, these little people make my world complete.
Blessed with my little family from top to bottom, side to side and around the world.
They just kept on coming!
Another successful day...and another successful night.
Last morning...Rich on the lake, G & M still sleeping, Mom and Chukar relaxing with coffee!
The Meyer 2016 Seven Bays Adventure was more that Rich and I could have imagined. We had time to recharge our bodies, refuel our souls, refill our hearts and renew our spirit for family. We are already looking forward to 2017...but will enjoy each day 2016 has to offer and rejoice in the great adventures we are able to have as a family.
