This year for Rich's birthday, his 35th, I decided to do something a little different and make Rich decide what we were going to do...well, sort of!
Step One: Find a coin that has 2 sides
Step Two: Put FISH on side 1 and HUNT on side 2
Step Three: Flip said coin
Step Four: Start our adventure
The coin said FISH, so we were off for our adventure to San Juan Island!
All the boys...getting ready to get on the ferry!
The ferry ride might have been Griffin's favorite part of the morning...not only did he get to get out of his carseat, he got to experience the front seats of the car (and even take a peak out the sunroof).
Inside the ferry proved to be "almost" as much fun!
The BOYS...in route to San Juan Island!
Ding Dong Head #1 also seriously enjoyed the adventures around the island....as you can see below!
First stop, DOG PARK in Roche Harbor! Seriously, these boys don't know how lucky they are...it's always about them! :)
Next stop, Lunch in Roche Harbor at the Lime Kiln Cafe. Right on the water...and so much fun!
After our bellies were filled up, it was time to explore the island by foot!
We decided on a hike on the south end of the island that overlooked Griffin Bay...we thought that was the fate and it was a must do!
Here's G...all ready for his adventure!
The boys at the trailhead!
The adventure continues on the trail....it was breathtaking!
Our little rockstar PUP...such a happy camper and super model at the same time!
POSER!!!!
On the final stretch of the hike, Griffin had enough of the pack and wanted to stretch his legs...so he finished out the hike like this. Happy little guy!
A little reward after the hike...yum!
Sunday morning...we tried to do a little fishing before heading to the ferry, but the wind was just too crazy! We enjoyed a little more of nature and headed home!
Dodging the storm...
This weekend was as much about celebrating Rich's 35th birthday, as it was celebrating our little family! The island was beautiful! The family had a blast! The adventures were great!
