Working on our "Union" in Union, WA

It was a rainy Saturday morning when Rich and I dropped off Griffin for the night at Grammy and Grandpa's and headed down to Union, WA!  We had to google it as we had no idea where it was...but had a fun little idea of working on our Union in Union....get it!

We hit the road and headed south and over the Tacoma Narrows Bridge...a first time for Rich and I together!  We have so much fun trying out new places and discovering fun little spots together.  This time was unique since neither Chukar or Griffin were with us!

We arrived in Union and stopped for Lunch at the Alderbook Hotel.  Even with the down pour of rain, the view was still amazing!

Our little cabin oasis for the night...a cute little spot with 12 individual cabins (so much cooler and more private than a little hotel)!  We love little unique spots like this.  Note: This bed was so comfortable!

Saturday we hung out, enjoyed the rain and each other!  It's fun to just spend some time rekindling your love and remembering how awesome your marriage and "union" are.  We are pretty blessed to have each other...Chukar, Griffin and 'cuda are just the icing on the cake!

Sunday morning, we woke up to beautiful blue skies and enjoyed a leisurely trip back home via Hood Canal and the Kingston-Edmonds Ferry.

We even stopped off to view a little waterfall on our way home...the hike was a grueling 600 feet.  hahah!  Pretty perfect for this pregnant lady!

Check out these falls......it was awesome how close we were able to get!

Selfie Alert!

Crossing the Hood Canal Bridge as the clouds came in...

Rich and I definitely enjoyed our "WE" time and have decided that it important for us to continue to have times like this!

Of course, while the parents are away, the child will play.....and PLAY he did!  Griffin "Mozart" Meyer was jamming on the ivories while Grandpa Mike assisted.

The proof that we need to get this little man into piano lessons SOON!!!  Of course, he should probably learn to read first!

Poor little man got sick while we were away (and Grammy and Grandpa had to deal with an unhappy camper)!

Always having to know where Grandpa is...Griffin tries to knock down the office door.

Helping Grandpa get his work done.

Thanks Grammy and Grandpa for taking care of the Little Man so that Rich and I could have a wonderful overnight excursion!  Until the next time....when we all feel better!

24 Weeks Strong!

Then and Now...

As crazy as this journey was the first time, it has even more turns and twists this time. It's amazing to think that we are over half way there...and so excited to meet this Little Man or Little Woman.  Pregnancy has had it's ups and downs, but I'm mostly enjoying it, as it will most likely be the LAST time we do this.  Now, never say never, but we are pretty sure that our little family will be complete with the additional of 'cuda in June!

Now, it's just time to:
  • decide on a name(s)
  • schedule the arrival date
  • pull out some onesies!
Well, maybe not that simple, but it definitely seems like we are less worried this time around and possibly even more excited...since we know how cool having a little one is.  Here's to the next 16 weeks of this journey!

Packing in the fun....February!

The rest of February flew by....and we guess it's because it's a short month.  However, this little shorty took advantage of everyday and had a BLAST!

Morning snack time with Grammy!

Prime Cheese-doodle Alert...showing Grammy all his tricks on an "alone" day with her.

I got your nose Grammy!

 Where's Grammy's ear? Where's Griffin's ear?

Kisses!

 Helping Mama unload the dishwasher!

Fun time at swim lessons with his Instructor Courtney!

Learning to blow out when he goes under water!

Learning to go to the wall and climb out!
Safety first!

New toys at Grammy's house are always more fun than anything else!  Today, Griffin was the circus leader with his Ring of Tricks!

A fun Wednesday with the whole gang checking out Northshore Gymnastics....loaded up GG, Auntie Roxy, Grammy, Jillian, Griffin and me and headed over for a morning of fun!

This picture was so cute...cousins holding hands!  They are truly best friends and have so much fun together!  LUCKY!  Can't believe the next 2 will be even closer in age and destined to be buddies!
Chasing kiddos around...while pregnant....is not as easy as it looks!

Playing with the BIG parachute!

Figuring out the obstacle course!

JUMP!

PAJAMA THURSDAY...for some reason, Thursday's tend to be the day that Griffin likes to stay in his PJ's all day...or else, maybe it's the day that Mama and Papa are too tired to get him dressed for the day!

Snack time at Grammy's!

Sharing with his cousin....Come on Jilly, you know you want one!

A very SPECIAL Friday for GG....every Friday is fun for the kiddos, but on this Friday, GG had all 3 of her Great-Grandbabies together to play!

Jillian (20 months), Griffin (15 months) and Carson (6 months)

SMILES!
I can not get enough of this boy!  Such a happy and spirited little man!

Showing off his reading skills...his favorite thing to do before bed is to crawl in Mama and Papa's bed and pretend he is a BIG BOY!

Another day, another gym to try out!  This time with his friends Olivia and Owen!

Watch out....here he comes!

Just like a Griffin, you should BOUNCE, BOUNCE!

Rainy Day Saturday night at Grammy and Grandpa's while M & D had a DATE NIGHT!!!!
Helping Grandpa install the handles on the cupboards...then relaxing with some iPad games!

 GEEZ....this kid is BUSY!!!!!

A day trip to Bellingham to visit Chase and Keegan!  These 3 were all boy and got into every single toy in the house!

Of course, there was a little snow when we got to Erin's....

Snack time!

Heather playing trains with the boys!

Once we got home from our day trip, G had to help papa clean up the crackers that exploded in his car seat!  Since he loves the vacuum, this was not hard to get him to help.  We will see how long that lasts!

Wrapping up a fun weekend with a little reading and relaxing with M & D!
He is such a big boy!

I had to post these beautiful flowers from my Aunt Roxy...fresh flowers make me smile and I love having them in our home!

GOOFBALL!  CHEESEDOODLE! DING-DONG HEAD!

The ultimate "I wear my sunglasses at night" moment!

Someone is hilarious...can you guess who?!?

Not the biggest fan of getting his teeth brushed by someone else...but loves to do it himself!  He is a little Independent...wonder where he gets that from....DAD?!?!

Another day trip to Bellingham...this time with Grammy to get the car serviced!

Riding his new Porsche!

Grammy, I'd like this one please....I will be 16 on October 31st, 2028...can you pre-order me one?

See, look how good I look in here!

Hanging out in the display case....nope, he's not for sale!

A cone...looks like a toy to me!

 This is more like it...TOYS!

Puzzles and more!

Back at Grammy's...ready to relax for the afternoon!

 Happiest boy ever!

February ended with a night out with friends...dinner and swimming!  Olivia, Owen and Griffin had a blast post-swimming checking out the elementary school!

 JACKPOT!  BIKES, SCOOTERS and MORE!

I'm exhausted just documenting what Griffin did the last 2 weeks...now I know why he takes so many naps during the day!  On to March buddy...for what I'm sure is to be packed with fun, friends and adventures!
