Celebrating Mile 4

Road trips are a great opportunity to look back at where you have been, but also give you a chance to look forward to where you are going!

Rich and I have been blessed with 4 awesome years of marriage and were able to reminisce about the places we have been together that, most likely, we would not have been to alone.

Our relationship is more than the sum of 2 parts, but the joining of forces to tackle this crazy world together.

We've officially been MARRIED longer than we dated!

Mile 4 representing the completion of our 4th year of marriage was taken just off the Klickitat River in south central Washington.

4 years later....

A wedding anniversary is the celebration of love, trust, partnership,
tolerance and tenacity.
The order varies for any given year.
-Paul Sweeney

Excited to celebrate 4 years of marriage to my BEST friend today...the road has seen it's fair share of turns, stops, bumps and straight aways, but I can't imagine enjoying this ride with anyone else. I consider myself blessed (luck is for fools) to have found someone who tolerates me and all the crazy that has been this past year.  I'm ridiculously happy with our little love story, our little family, our little life and all the little pieces that make each day amazing. Who knew that LOVE really is what it's all about!

It's you and me babe...until the end!

Let Freedom Ring!

Any weekend that starts on a Wednesday afternoon, that includes a trip to the dog park is OK in Chukar (and my) book!

The weather was amazing...and I met up with the boys at Marymoor for a little stroll.

After the fun at the park, the Blosser Family came over for dinner!

Beckett immediately taught Griffin how to go up the stairs (baby gate is now installed).

The boys hanging in the pool (in their festive trunks)!

Can you spot Beckett? Yes, he is under Griffin.  HILARIOUS!

The boys had so much fun they didn't want to say good-bye!

Thursday morning (after sleeping in) involved another trip to the dog park (yes, our boys are spoiled).

After the dog park, we met up with the Rush family and walked down to the Bothell 4th of July Parade!

Emily was "in love" with G and gave him multiple kisses.

Alison, Griffin & Emily hanging out while the parade marches by!

Packed up and ready to home.  The parade was a success!

This goofball...

Almost home and the tank from the parade was parked...perfect photo opportunity for the boys!

More fun in the pool...I love these 2 pictures because it shows Emily's canon ball followed by G's reaction.

After the fun of the parade and the pool, it was time for more fun (and food) at the Rush's!  Thanks for inviting us over to crash your BBQ.

 Highchair wars...the stare down edition!

The weekend just kept coming...on Friday we decided it would be the perfect day to go for a hike...so Rich had to test out the new packs to see which one works the best.  18 lbs of Griffin is not cut out for the Bjorne anymore!

Up by Cooper Lake/River...and ready to hike!

The Meyer Family Selfie!

Packed up and having a blast with my boys...

The weather was beautiful, just too many mosquitos!

After our hike, we went to a little spot that Rich and I have fished before Chukar or Griffin were born...a secret special little spot to us!

 The boys approved!

What good is a hike and the woods if Griffin doesn't get to play in the dirt!
Little poser!

Chukar had a BLAST....and slept the entire trip home!

Saturday was Rhett & Lindsay's wedding...and G wanted to come share the special day! It was his first wedding and he was a ROCKSTAR. So proud of you little man!

Hanging with Bob and Rebecca at the reception!

Posing with mama...so ready for bed, but having too much fun!

Tried to rest with papa too...but no go!

The Meyer Family needed this weekend...and spent every second of it enjoying it (even managed to get a couple home project done)!

...and now, this about Sums up how exhausted we all are after this BUSY, but fabulous 4th of July weekend.
