Goodbye Summer....

It hit us like a wrecking ball...all the sun, all the fun and then BAM...seasons change and we are thick into a new season BUT we're doing it and doing it and doing it WELL.  :) So here's the look back of the August that was...the season where we try to bottle up so much time together that it will keep us content for a bit.

Early August...the boys took off for their 2nd Annual Meyer Boys week at the Lake.

No fun was had by them at all...ALL BOYS, ALL THE TIME.

The girls and I had a CHEER-tastic week!

We had some fun snacks and LOTS of slumber parties with Mom.

Then, we'd had enough and were ready to reunite with the boys. Sugar Stop in Ephrata to break up the drive over.

Rich and Griffin had spent the week at the lake...so the girls, Henry and I headed over to join them for the weekend.

LJ and I spent a Saturday visiting her friend that moved to ID after school got out.  We sure miss Sofia and family.

The master at the lake...a sweet friend gave me the blanket for my birthday.

Spent the day out on the boat...fun to share our love with friends.

Little Sis and Big Sis night at Cheer. Millie gets to be a Big and Leighton gets to be a Little.

When we walk...he talks. I love these moments as he grows up and seems to "want" mom less but still "needs" me more.  I will always make the time to be available to him.  :)

When you have a back to school planning meeting at your friends pool...

So much of summer was spent at the lake...but on a lone weekend in August at home we hit up the movies and had some fun!

Both girls in Bothell Blue this year...Go Cougars!  Jamboree kick off weekend!

Millie's best friend got baptized.  So grateful to be invited to share in the amazing evening.

Gimme all the SUMMER Worship Nights with this crew!

I'm gonna PRAISE...and praise we did.  Brandon Lake and Phil Wickham put on an AMAZIN SHOW!

Ahhh...I say it TOO much but I am so grateful for these moments.  It's the quiet chats, the crazy hey moms and the steps together.  We had many together and many apart...but the ones where we all walk together are my favorites.

These kids were troopers this summer with HOME projects...from the giant room swap to many cupboards and drawers...summer was winding down and they had ONE last set of drawers.

Surprise...the reward for a JOB well done. These kids deserved it and got to have a YES day with Lunch and Dave & Busters!  Ahhhh, the smiles and fun that was had by all!

Back to School Night where our Kinder got to set up her desk!  The big kids did some drop and run too, but that's an old hat and we were ready for some fun!

We dropped and ditched the Back to School Night and headed EAST for ONE final summer fun weekend at the Lake.

We've got 3 baddies....insert cover band "BAD TO THE BONE".

End of summer "Florida Island" beach day...we soaked in the private island for hours and built a sand village.  Best day ever seeing these 3 work together and have so much fun JUST BEING KIDS!!!!

GOODBYE SUMMER 2024...you were SOOO SOOO GOOD!
