The holidays have come and gone...our then 6 week old baby is approaching 6 months in a blink of an eye and we are still living a transient life style with more love and support than we could ever imagine.
Back in December, or was it late November, the Meyer troops loaded up for a day of fun in the mountains to pick out the perfect tree (that would never get decorated or even put inside)...but it was the adventure that made the memories and the memories that make me smile!
The adventure started with a quick bite at the family favorite...Taco Time!
Lunch would not have been complete without a car nursing session and blowout from LJ!
We arrived and there was a TON of snow at our favorite spot in the mountains!
The big ones and Rich off to explore!
Don't worry...Mama and LJ were not missing out on this good old Griswold, I mean, Meyer Christmas adventure.
A WOO-HOO for the timer on the iPhone so we all could get in the picture!
CHUKAR too!!!
His happy place.
The troops were done...and still no TREE.
I mean...so squishy and so tiny!
The kids were cold...so Dad went on a solo mission at spot #2. Success!!!
Tree was loaded up on Bessie and ready to head for some post adventure snacks!
HOT CHOCOLATE for the troops!
...and an impromptu PARADE in the town we stopped at!
BAM!!!! We made it back to "The White House" and had our Meyer Family Christmas tree. Next year, it will be inside...but for this year, we had a little fun with the spirit at the remodel house!
This year has taught us A LOT about patience and persistence. To keep traditions alive even if they are a little different than before.
