Oh November, you are a month where we focus on how grateful we are for our many blessings and this season was a reminder of how grateful we are for the word MORE. We have spent a lot of time figuring out what works for our family and a season of MORE serves us well.
More walks in the rain. More drives to school together for "fake" dates. More dinners at the table. More time together. It takes a lot of NO's and we aren't perfect, but we never regret when MORE is....
time together!
Cheer was wrapping up and we spent our first few weekends cheering on Leighton's team..Millie's team was out of the playoffs early, but we had fun cheering on the CUBS to a Double OT championship.
Rich and Griffin were able to head over to the cabin early one weekend while I stayed back with the girls...
Griffin even got to take Ford bird hunting with Rich and developed a little Bird-Fever....or at least, hiking outside with a gun.
Trying to soak up as much time outside...when the rain/wind/insert crazy November weather wasn't here.
Mommy and Millie date night...Crowder, Cain, Jon Reddick. Singing our hearts out to our fav bands! Finding time to connect with this one is huge...we are sometimes like oil and vinegar and I love the times where I get her sweetness all to myself.
And we're off to the lake to meet the boys...but 1st Leighton needed to get her CHEER on!
And that's another Bothell Cougar WIN...and LJ's team was off to the championship game.
Ta-Dah...we made it to the boys!
Dinner at the Fort with these crazies!
And then it was morning...chilly walks with the pup are the quickest reset for this mama!
After a very FULL Fall...it felt night to have a few quiet days off the grid!
Seeing these 3 hang out and just chat makes me happy!
I'm usually a no tree until after Thanksgiving gal...but at the lake, anything goes!
Did someone say COFFEE???
That's a wrap...time to head home, but we were all smiles knowing we would be back soon!
Of course, mom ended up with all the turkeys!
Philippian's Awards are something special and Leighton earned her first one at HCA. AMBITION!
Next up...Basketball season. For someone who had never been on a court, Fall Ball was so fun and Griffin grew so much.
Straight from a basketball game to a family fun night for church...sure, let's do it. Burning the candle at both ends right into Thanksgiving break!
And then there was MORE basketball...
And a Mother Son Night...tacos and game trucks, straight to Griffin's heart!
And then it was time for the Championship Game...go COUGARS!
I couldn't have asked for a better 1st season for Leighton!!!
Early morning...means midday car naps!
And then we decided to buy a BUS! Don't worry, it was very thought out.
BOMB CYCLONE HITS....
It was only 24 hours without power...but wow, we are grateful for LIGHT!!!
A happy Night of Worship with the Big kids...so thankful for CHCC.
Haircut day...and this one wanted a BIG chop!
So sweet and sassy!
Big sis got here hair done too!
Time to celebrate an amazing season of CHEER!
Millie and her little sis.
Fun with the Photo Booth...so grateful these girls still think I'm fun (-ish)!
AND THEN THE CHEER SEASON ENDED WITH LEIGHTON EARNING THE JUNIOR COUG AWARD...BIG DAY AND BEST 1ST SEASON. WELL DONE SIS!
Post Cheer banquet sushi!
And then it was time to head over the mountains and through the woods to some time at the cabin..
My first stop...every. single. time.
Lots of chill time...lots! It's so amazing to find a place that we love as much in the fall as the summer and the winter as the spring. Just a different vibe each time, but with family is the best!
This trip was special because we got to visit Leighton's friend Sophia and her family! We sure miss them.
Spirited Coffee making 2024...a full day, full family experience!
Meanwhile, inside, it was smore making time!
We even snuck in this guys well check...and he's officially microchipped and still has his b@lls!
Final step...the bottling!
Thankgiving time with Kennewick Grammy celebrating being C-free!
And of course we must swim in the freezing pool!
Headed back home...
Made it just in time for Thanksgiving Dinner at the Boness house! Sometimes the unplanned things turn out to be the best things!!!
And then we were taken out by the FLU...
Back up for a bit...before it took out the rest of the family to wrap up November!
Look who made the NICE list! Ready to RACE into December and the month of celebrating Jesus and the many blessings we have because of HIM!
