I will walk 500 miles....and I will walk 500 more. Well, we didn't
quite hit 500, but we logged 133.5 miles from the last day of school in
June to the first day of school in September!!! And we will keep on
walking because...it makes us feel good, it was a fun family challenge,
we laughed a ton, we pushed through some challenges, and we did it
together!!! Now, we all need some new sneakers to get us through FALL!!!
Look what is FINALLY off the line! We are still waiting for a delivery date, but it will be here someday!
Last day of SUMMER vacation!
Back to school night at HCA...we had 3 very excited Eagles to leave the nest and get back to school! I love that they love school as much as I love this little school on the hill!!!
And then it was DAY 1 for the Big kids!!!
Opening up the new school year in worship is such an amazing experience...getting to pray over the teachers, the students, the families and more!!!
With the big kids at school, it meant LJ and I had our Wednesdays back to tackle errands (and some fun)!
All good for this check up!
Next up was LJ's 1st day! On to the 4's for a BIG year at HCA!
Day 2 for the Big kids and they had "Favorite Team" Spirit Day.
Slow start for preschool means LJ was back home Friday, so we had some girl time :)
Taking the kids to a Christian ROCK concert on the 3rd day of school....not the best idea, but we made it!!!
And then we had our 1st game!!! Let's go Cougars!!!
A special visitor was in town so we got to enjoy a little post victory ice cream time with Aunt Becky.
Lazy Sunday morning...kind of?!?!
Fun with friends!!!
Another week...and back to the football field to cheer on our cheerleader!
Griffin vs. The Tipsy Cow Burger
Tipsy Cow 1, Griffin 0 - not for lack of effort!
And then it was time for flag football to start...GO PACK GO!
The sibling cheerleaders!
When the back to school schedule is JUST TOO MUCH!!!
Just because school was back, our night walks have not stopped. We even have a Q1 goal of 60 miles that we are about to blow out of the water...the sunny nights haven't stopped yet (and it's October 13th as I'm writing this)!
The waiting game is ALMOST over...the Hot Tub is here! Electrical is now hooked up and we just need a little water in to make this a reality!!! Hot Tub Date Nights coming October 2022!!!!
Some days we just have to stop and enjoy the coffee and cookies!
Did you say CHEERLEADER...she is all smiles and has really found a love for this! It's a fun family Saturday too!
Da...Da....Da....Date "Almost" Night! It was a work dinner, but it involved no kids and Rich and I together for the night, so I'll take it as a win!
Pancake Breakfast morning....
Millie sold the MOST tickets this year and was so excited to celebrate with some friends and family as they came in for pancakes!
Love this special day with my Meme and so thankful for all the people that supported her!
Done with pancakes in time to catch the end of G's football game too!
Picture Day for the the Boys!!!
And then off to a birthday party....this was the weekend that broke the camels back :)
With the BIGS back in school (and this one too), I find that her and I have more time that ever. It's so fun to see her growing up before my eyes!!!
Catching Les-a-lee coaching and cheering on the Dawgs!
And then he was 44!!! We celebrated with some before school fun and late night creme brulee...because that's how it's done! He got to head to the lake in October too...but birthdays are just better together!
HCA Pride Day...go EAGLES!
Praise UPDATE: Griffin has been in the OrthoK overnight lens for about 6 weeks and he is at 20/20 without correction during the day. How amazing!!! So proud of his hard work and diligence with this.
When your middle is growing up and becoming such a wonderful steward of the word and leader! Proud of you Meme!
PTF in full effect at HCA and we hosted our 1st Popcorn Friday! So fun to have a little community time with the school we love so much.
Um, I've been doing it. It's become a habit and I'm loving 5am gym time. Learning to sweat it out so I can be a better ME for everyone who needs me. Plus, it gets me 6am coffee and the word time every day! Don't tell me you don't have time...we are all busy, but where we spend our time shows what is important (and that is in a loving voice, I promise)!!!
My little lipstick addict!!!
Heading to practice...and enjoying the sunshine walk with my girls!
When you see your daughter grow so much in the LORD...it is something that I can only stand up and praise Him for! Millicent has become such a leader, lover of the word and confident in her faith! I love that she is so confident in Him and she knows that His grace alone is sufficient! Must be a reason she is the one who taught me Grace!!
I now know with absolute certainty that it was His Grace that continues to bring hope to our family. I know it wasn’t a coincidence that Miss Millicent Grace was named for His GRACE, although we didn’t know at the time. How amazing is it to see the Lord work through your family, just by inviting Him into your heart! Thanks for the Grace and the Millicent Grace!!!
When the BIGS both have events on a Wednesday...we use it as Date Night plus 1!!!
Wrapping up September with full hearts....seeing these 2 become REAL friends, partners and grow in their trust of one another!!!
And these 2 get a special shout out...as I write this, they are on the cusp on some BIG birthdays, 4 and 96!!! They are triple digits together and I cherish this relationship and the time they have had together! How special it is!!!!
