The trucks arrived early and we were underway.....let's get this remodel started!
Day 2 and the excavator arrived...time to get some digging done!
First to go, the east side of the house where the main addition will be. Of course, there is not a room in the house not being touched, but this is the MAIN attraction.

The old patio and flower beds are gone and the demo has started to prep for the new covered porch. SWOON....I'm dying that I get a covered porch with a swing to sit on and build memories with my family.

Kids were excited to see the excavator...and couldn't wait to get into action on it.

The foundation forms are starting to be built.
Finally, the kids got to go for a spin. Highlight of their week, for sure.
The dumpster has arrived...which means demo is about to begin.
Carpet, doors and trim are gone...
And that's a TON of progress for 8 days of work! Foundation will be poured on MONDAY and we will be underway with framing and roofing!
So fun to see SO much progress this first week. I know not every week we will be able to see so many things happen, but after being stuck in permit and bank purgatory for what seemed like years, it's awesome to see things moving along!
