Who's voice do you hear?

Image
I saw this quote today and it is an AMAZING reminder of the MOM I want to be, the MOM I hope I am, and the MOM I am still figuring out how to be. (I'm sure Rich feels the same way...but he's working now and I'm blogging)! Rich and I are often amazed at how happy GRIFFIN is...we will sit and say how lucky we are to have such a happy baby, how blessed we are when we hear his little belly giggles, smile when we come into his nursery in the morning and he is just cooing and laughing, watch him for hours on the baby monitor while he blows raspberries and entertains himself, and just melt a little when we see Chukar and him play (and share) their toys! When we sit back and question it, we realize he should be happy! LIFE IS GREAT!!! He has 2 parents who love him unconditionally and would do anything in the world from him.  A brother who, even when annoyed with him, will drop everything and give him loves (and sometimes even his ball).  A home that is filled with l...

Food Monster

Image
Who loves FOOD....that guy!  When we named him Monster over a year ago, we never thought he would turn into such a FOOD MONSTER.  This little man can PUT IT DOWN (probably what is filling up that second chin). A little taste of what he's been eating lately: Yams Mangos Oatmeat Peas Chicken with Apples Peach and Banana He definitely has no apprehension when it comes to trying new things...but remains to be full of expressions when he is a little unsure.  I guess he trusts what his mama is making...we will see how long that lasts?!?!  For now, I'm the best cook in the world, until he gets "real" food and figures out that papa is the chef of the family!  I will keep my #1 spot as long as possible...and I can definitely say I enjoy making baby food a whole heck of a lot more that pumping.   This is a little sample of the peach and banana...looks pretty tasty!!!! YUMMY! YUMMY!  In his tummy...so intent on g...

April Showers bring May "Power"!

Little Squeaks is growing up too fast...and all this is making us realize that crawling, teeth, chatting up a storm, bbq'ing, driving a car, going on his first date and more are right around the corner. A quick APRIL in REVIEW..... Griffin spent time reading books and maintaining his double chin.   Also, spent some time lounging around this month....  and sitting up like a BIG Boy!   Even spent some time hanging out with FRIENDS! Group play dates.... and some One-on-One Fun with Beckett! Enjoyed some time with Mama...both inside and outside!  Hung out with my BIG Brother...and bonded even more!  Went on a FAMILY Play date...i.e. 3 Chuks and a Mama to La Conner! Hung out with GG on Fridays... Continued Swimming Lessons!   Helped Papa and "Uncle" Aaron work in the kitchen.   Had beers with Papa and "Uncle" Alex. Enjoyed dinner with Kaylin and Pat. Showe...
