And on the 138th day...

Image
he slept in the nursery (all by himself)!!!!    We knew it was time for our little INDEPENDENT man to move to the nursery, but weren't sure that mom and dad were ready to have him gone.    Well, WE WERE!  We couldn't believe how well we slept without the little squeaks through the night. Now, we just need him to sleep for 8+ straight hours.  Baby steps, baby steps! He is growing up SO fast...but we are so proud of him for learning how to self-soothe and sleep in his "big boy" room all by himself. Of course, we are watching him from the little monitor, and we are pretty sure he knows we are RIGHT there.   Look at him staring up at us...like "Hi Mom, Hi Dad...I'm a big boy"!   We swaddled him the first couple nights....   then discovered that he was ready to have his arms!

Garbage In, Garbage Out!

Guess who is eating SOLIDS now...well, just starting!  At our 4 month appointment with Mr. G, the pediatrician told us that G was ready to have solids as he had great head control and seemed very interested it in.  This little man will not be little for long...he's a RAVENOUS eater! The pictures above are from the 1st tries with sweet potato...and the one below is from tonight (about 1 week in) and already trying to feed himself!

Splish, Splash!

Griffin had his FIRST swim lesson on Saturday and as you can tell from the video above...he's a natural.  Potentially the next Michael Phelps!  He loved being in the pool and smiled the whole time! Hanging out with Dad before it was time to hit the water! He's a "shark" in the water...watch out!  Let the lessons begin...we worked on stomach floating and back floating! Griffin even advanced and put his face and ears in the water!

FOUR MONTHS OLD!!!

Griffin is FOUR MONTHS OLD and is up to 13.73 lbs. At his FOUR month appointment his stats were as follows:   Length: 26.46 in (91%) Weight: 13.73 lbs (23%) Head: 16.89 in (64%)   So basically, we have a tall and skinny little man! He also had his 4 month vaccinations  (see band-aid above) and was an absolute champ with them.  A few things that Griffin is now doing in MONTH FOUR: First ROLL OVER Grabbing Mommy and Daddy's fingers (and putting in his mouth) Found his feet Continuing to be the LIGHT in our days  Some funny pictures from our MONTH 4 photo shoot....he's going to love me for these one day!   SO BIG! So Strong!!!  Look Mom, no hands!!!      Precious Little Angel or plotting to take over the WORLD? You decide! I'm worried this is NEVER going to end!

February...A collage of Griffin!

This happy BOY had an amazing month!  He was able to spend time with family, friends and even have some new experiences.  He continues to be such a good boy and has developed an "observer" personality.  It's amazing to see him grow and change every day. His smiles and giggles MELT our hearts! Fridays are special for G...he typically gets to spend part of the day with his GG (Great-Grammy) and Great Auntie Roxy!  We are blessed that he gets to have this time with his extended family. G and GG! This little GUMMER loves to smile!   WOW, HANDS! These things are amazing! February brought the first FLU to the Meyer family and had us all out of commission for a week...it even cut short a visit from Grandma and Grandpa Meyer because we were so sick.   It also brought some sunny weekends and TRIPS to the dog park!   Mama and G at Marymoor! February also brought SLEEP filled nights...G made mama and papa so HA...

Valentine's Day 2013

Valentine's Day 2013...was a little different, a little of the same.   We kept the tradition alive with the Heartbaker and also a homemade dinner...but was a little different with having G here to celebrate even a little more LOVE!!! Squeaks was styling on HEARTS DAY with his awesome onesie made by a friend.  Valentine's Day fell on a Thursday...so G got to hang out with J and Grammy!   These babies have my entire heart...well, most of it (still a lot of it belongs to Richie and Chukar)! This lip....wasn't the first time we have seen it...and it won't be the last! Thursday night...our delicious Heartbaker and chocolate covered strawberries! Friday night...we endulged in an awesome meal at home while  the boys slept and entertained themselves! Our fantastic dinner...bacon-wrapped scallops, Filet Mignon and a delicious beet salad!  It was topped off with a cocktail or two and some creme brulee!  We sho...
